In the upper-right corner, click the down-arrow to open the Main menu.

1. Select Preferences.
2. Click the "Ignore List" category.
   
   • If the person is not in your Messenger List, select the option labeled "Ignore anyone who is not on my Messenger List", and skip to the last step.
   • If the person is in your Messenger List, select the option labeled "Ignore only the people below."
3. Click Add.
4. Enter the Yahoo ID of the contact you want to ignore.
5. Click Ignore.
6. Click OK at the bottom of the window. Done!

When you ignore a contact, you always appear offline to the contact. They cannot view your status or send you an IM.

You can ignore up to 100 contacts.

Note: To remove a contact from your Ignore List, select their ID and click the Remove button.
