Yahoo! Phone Out service uses the same international dialing codes that you use on your traditional land line and mobile phones.

The easiest way to call an international number is to use the standard international dialing format.

Here's how to dial an international call:

1. Enter a "+".
2. Followed by the country code.
3. Followed by the area code.
4. Followed by the local number you wish to call.

Important! Leave off the zero before an area code.

Example of how to dial an international call to the United Kingdom (UK):

Let's try an example. You are calling a friend in the UK, and her number is (020) 7356 5000. Here is what you would enter into the Messenger input box:

1. + (always start with a plus)
2. 44 (The country code for the UK)
3. 20 (The area code with the leading '0' removed. That extra zero should not be used.)
4. 73565000 (The local number)

Using the above information, this is what you'd enter into the Messenger input box: +442073565000.
