There are lots of ways to place an Internet call through Yahoo! Messenger.
To call someone in your Messenger list:
If you’re already instant messaging with someone, you can click the telephone button in the toolbar in the upper-left corner of the conversation window.
When you're done talking, click End Call.
To call someone’s computer’s number who’s not in your Messenger list:
Just type the number in the “Type a Yahoo! ID/Type a mobile number” bar at the top of your Messenger list. Once you’re finished, either click the number where it appears just below this bar, or just press enter on the keyboard.
When you're done talking, click End Call.
To make an international PC-to-PC call:
Dial 011 for international numbers, then the international country code, and then the area or city code followed by the local number. For example, to call Rome, Italy, first dial 011, then the country code for Italy (39), then the city code for Rome (06), and then the local number.
When you're done talking, click End Call.
Note: Click Actions, then Call Setup to check that your microphone and speakers are set up properly before you try to make a call.
Important: 911 or other emergency calling services are not available on Yahoo! Messenger at this time. Please inform anyone using your Yahoo! Messenger that 911 or other emergency calling services are not available. They must call 911 or other emergency calling services through their telephone or mobile phone.
