If your ID doesn't show as being online in Yahoo! Clubs, Yahoo! Groups, or other areas of Yahoo!, it's possible that your Profile hasn't been configured properly. If this is the case, you'll need to edit one of your profiles, which is a breeze. Here's how:
- Select "Login" on the Yahoo! Messenger toolbar.
- Select "My Profiles."
- Click "Create/Edit My Profiles".
- Make sure that the box next to "Check the box to hide my online status from other users" is UNchecked.
- Click "Finished Editing" when you're done.
If a profile isn't showing up on the Yahoo! Messenger, it's possible that it's been disabled. It's easy to check if this is the case and if so, to fix. Here's how:
- Select the "Login" menu at the top of the Yahoo! Messenger screen.
- Select "My Profiles."
- To enable the profile, make sure that there's a check in the box next to the profile. If there is no check, the profile will be disabled and you won't be able to send messages with it. Therefore, it will appear to be offline to any friends that you added with that profile.
If you're still having problems after doing the above, then the problem is a temporary one that shouldn't keep bothering you. The problem may have been caused by our system or perhaps by your web browser or Internet connection.
