Please keep in mind that Yahoo! Messenger is currently supported only on Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista. Microsoft no longer includes Windows ME, Windows 98, or Windows 95 in its "Mainstream Support" category, so Yahoo! Messenger can't maintain current products that run on it safely. Unfortunately, older versions of Yahoo! Messenger are no longer available for download.

Here are two possible solutions to this problem:

1. Upgrade the operating system on your computer to Windows XP or Windows Vista.
2. Install Yahoo! Messenger on another computer running either of the above operating systems.
