When you're chatting with a friend, you can show them how you're feeling. How? With "emoticons," little icons that represent different emotions. Here's a page containing a list of emoticons you can send.

You can also send "hidden" emoticons (shhhh… don't tell!) Click here to see those.

To send the regular emoticons, you can either type the characters (like :) for a smiley face), or you can click one from the emoticon menu, which opens with one click on the smiley face above where you type messages. To send "hidden" emoticons, either type the characters or copy and paste them off the hidden emoticons web page.

Please note: You must have Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher installed in order for the animated emoticons to work properly.
