How do we watch videos or look at a map together?

Basically, just enter the web address of the video, map or image you're looking at, and Yahoo! Messenger recognizes whether it’s a video, a map or an image, and opens it in the Conversation Window. Here's how:

  1. Copy the web-page URL of the video (or map – or photo) you're looking at. It’s the line that starts with “http://...” up in your browser’s address bar. To copy it, highlight the text by clicking and dragging your pointer over it. Then, under Edit, click Copy. (Or, press ctrl+c on your PC keyboard, or apple+c on your Mac.)
  2. Paste what you copied into your IM Conversation by clicking in the box where you type, then clicking Edit and selecting Paste. (Or, press ctrl+v on your PC keyboard, or apple+v on your Mac).

For videos, click Watch With Me to watch it together at the same time. For a map or an image, click View Larger to open it in a new browser window.

Note: Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 currently supports some of the larger video sharing sites like YouTube and Yahoo! Video, as well as Yahoo! Maps and GoogleMaps. Over time, more services will be supported.
