We're aware that many customers used our DHTML Version of Yahoo! Chat. Unfortunately, as of October 31, 2006, you can no longer enter Yahoo! Chat this way.

At this time, the only method of entering Yahoo! Chat is through the Yahoo! Messenger client. If you still want to use Yahoo! Chat, you'll have to download Yahoo! Messenger from the following location:

http://messenger.yahoo.com

Once you've downloaded and installed Yahoo! Messenger, you can enter Yahoo! Chat by doing the following:

1. Launch Yahoo! Messenger and sign in with your Yahoo! ID and Password.
2. Select "Messenger."
3. Select "Yahoo! Chat."
4. Select "Join a Room" from the sub-menu.
5. Select the room you want to join from the "Categories" and "Yahoo! Rooms" lists.

Please note that Yahoo! Chat currently doesn't allow user-created rooms.
