Do I need webcam to see others' webcam images?
You don't need to have a webcam of your own to see someone else who is broadcasting on their webcam.
There are a few ways to view a webcam:
In your Messenger Window:
- Click the "Actions" menu in the Messenger window.
- Select "View Webcam."
- Click the contact's ID.
- If the person isn't in your contact list, click "Other Contact."
- Enter the Yahoo! ID of the person whose webcam you wish to view.
- Click "OK."
IM Window:
- Select "Actions" from the IM window menubar.
- Select "View Webcam."
The contact needs to approve your request to view their webcam. Once they approve, though, you'll be all set.
Chat Window:
- Select the person whose webcam you'd like to see from the Chat List.
- Click the Webcam icon in the Chat toolbar.
- Select "Contact Options."
- Click "View Webcam."
By following these steps you should be able to view others' webcams.
