Here’s how:

Click Messenger and select "My Webcam."

Click Messenger again, and now select Preferences.

Click Webcam.

Click Camera Settings and modify things as you wish.

Note: Accessing Preferences without starting the webcam first will gray out the camera settings & selection button.
