Can I use Yahoo! Voice services on a different PC, such as at an Internet café?

Heck yes. Why spend lots of money on calls when there’s a PC around the corner waiting to be dialed? You can use Yahoo! Voice services on any PC meeting our system requirements, as long as you have an Internet connection, a microphone and speakers (or a headset), as well as Yahoo! Messenger.

System requirements for using Yahoo! Voice with Yahoo! Messenger:

  • Windows 2000//XP/Vista
  • Pentium-class processor (1.0GHz or higher)
  • Internet Explorer (version 6.0 or later)
  • At least 256MB RAM
  • A microphone, sound card, and speakers
  • A non-proxy connection to the Internet

A broad band Internet connection is recommended, though not necessary. Note: If you are using Yahoo! Voice services from a public PC, please make sure not to save passwords on that public machine. Also, make sure you log out of Yahoo! Messenger and any Yahoo! websites to keep your account secure.
