If you're having trouble connecting, try adjusting the Yahoo! Messenger Connection Preferences. Here's how:

1. Click the "Messenger" menu and select "Connection Preferences."
2. Select "Firewall with no proxies."
3. Click "Apply." You should see a message asking you to sign in again.
4. Click "OK."
5. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password, then click "Sign In."
