This is a great way to share the friends you have in common with someone who's new to Messenger. Here's how:

1. Click Actions.
2. Click Send My Messenger List. A window opens and shows your Messenger list.
3. Click the My Contacts tab to choose people from your Messenger List.
4. Click the Other Contact tab to enter the Yahoo! ID, Windows Live ID, or email address of someone not on your contact list.
5. Click Next. This displays your Messenger List with several options to choose from:
• You can check the box on a group, if you want to send your list to an entire group.
• You can check the boxes next to one or more people in your list.
• You can check the Select All check box to send your list to every person and group.
• If you don't want everybody on the list to see everybody else's name, uncheck the option Let the other person see my names for these contacts.
6. Click Finish.
