When Yahoo! Messenger isn't closed properly, you may receive the following message:

"Yahoo! Messenger quit unexpectedly. Upon reopening it has loaded your Plug-ins in Safe Mode."

Because Yahoo! Messenger didn't close properly, all Plug-ins for Yahoo! Messenger are loaded in "Safe Mode," meaning the Plug-ins aren't started automatically when you open and sign into Yahoo! Messenger.

The plug-ins will need to be restarted for use. Here's how:

1. Click "Add Plug-ins."
2. Click "My Plug-ins."
3. Click "Start" next to the Plug-ins you wish to have reloaded.
4. Close the Plug-ins window to return to Yahoo! Messenger.
