It's easy to display your Avatar in other people's Messenger Lists. Here's how:

There are two ways to configure your Avatar:

1. Select Messenger.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Select Display Image.
4. Click Change Default.

or

1. Select Messenger.
2. Click the Messenger smiley face icon next to your name.
3. Select My Display Image.
4. Check Show my Yahoo! Avatar in other people's Messenger Lists.
5. Click OK.

You can display your friend's Yahoo! Avatars in your Messenger List:

1. Select Messenger.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Select Display Image.
4. Select Show other people's Yahoo! Avatars on my Messenger List.
5. Click OK.

Please Note: Unchecking an option turns off the feature.

You can display your Avatar in other people's Messenger List and share your picture within an IM window. Please make sure you've selected the Show my Yahoo! Avatar in other people's Messenger Lists option and have set up the sharing of your Picture. The "Use this selection for everyone" option only applies to whether you want an Avatar or a Display Picture. You cannot show different pictures or Avatars with different users.
