Replace an article

You have reached the maximum number of saved articles. Your oldest saved article will be replaced with the new one.

To select a status message:

  1. Click the status chooser at the top of the Yahoo! Messenger and select one of the following:
    • Available
    • Busy
    • Stepped Out
    • Be Right Back
    • Not at My Desk
    • On the Phone

To create your own custom status message:

  1. Click the status chooser at the top of the Yahoo! Messenger and select "New Status Message."
  2. Type your custom status message (such as "back in 5 minutes") and then click the "OK" button.
  3. Click on the "Show Busy Icon" box if you want the busy icon displayed.
  4. Your custom status message will appear after your Yahoo! ID.

Note: Old custom status messages will be deleted as you create new ones.
