How do I share a Yahoo! Photos album using Yahoo! Messenger?

You can share your Yahoo! Photos albums in Yahoo! Messenger. Here's how:

  1. Open Yahoo! Photos, and log in if necessary.
  2. Click the radio button for the album you want to share, or click "Create a New Album," and then click "Share Album."
  3. On the next page, click "Share by Messenger." A new page will appear, showing the Yahoo! IDs of the people on your Messenger List who are currently online. Click the Yahoo! ID of the friend with whom you want to share photos.
  4. An IM window will open with the Yahoo! Photos IMVironment. Type a message to your friend, and click "Send." Your message will include links for your friend to "Accept" or "Decline" your invitation to view the photos.

You can also go to the Yahoo! Photos IMV within Yahoo! Messenger, then select a photo album to start a photo-sharing session.

Using Yahoo! Messenger to share a photo album that you've created in Yahoo! Photos is different from sharing photos inside an IM window, because it uses the Yahoo! Photos IMVironment.

In this IMVironment, your album will appear as a slideshow. You can't add photos to the IMVironment without first adding them to the album. You can change albums, and you can also use photo sharing in the side panel of the same IM window while the Yahoo! Photos IMVironment is open.
