If you don't want other people to know when you're online, you can disable the online status feature at any time. Here's how:

1. If you're logged in to Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Chat, or Yahoo! Games, log out.
2. Go to the Edit Profiles Page.
3. You'll see a checkbox that reads "Check the box to hide my online status from other users."
4. Checking the box hides your online status. If you leave the box unchecked, other people know when you're online.
5. Click the "Finished Editing" button when you're done.
6. Log back in to Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Chat, or Yahoo! Games to see your revised online status.
