The Yahoo! Profanity Settings let you choose how you want profane language filtered from the message boards you view.
After you've registered and signed in with your Yahoo! ID, go to the Message Boards Settings page by clicking the "Message Boards Settings" link. It should be located in the upper-right corner of every page on Message Boards. You are automatically sent into the Profanity Settings section.
If you choose a view of "Strikethrough profanity in messages by overwriting specific words," the filter replaces the profanity with italicized symbols (@$&%), allowing you to read the message without the profanity.
If you choose "Do not display messages that contain profanity" the filter hides all of the messages containing profane language entirely from the Message Boards for you. When moving from one message to another using the "Previous" and "Next" links, all messages with profane language are skipped.
If you are experiencing any trouble with the Profanity Filter, please let us know.
