What's the address-card icon next to the names of people whose email messages I'm reading?

Replace an article

You'll see an icon next to a name and email address in the "header" section above any message you're reading that's from a contact in your Yahoo! Contacts folder. If the sender is not in your Contacts folder yet, the icon next to their name and email address is an address card with a plus sign. This means "Add this contact." Click it if you want to add the new contact information.
