Some email applications have the ability to display HTML messages, which include graphics and links. Others can only display text and/or limited graphics. If you try to view an HTML message in a text-only email reader, your message won't display properly.

The following email clients are HTML compatible:

  • Microsoft Outlook 2002 (XP) and 2003
  • Microsoft Outlook 98 and 2000
  • Microsoft Outlook Express
  • Microsoft Outlook Express for Macintosh
  • IncrediMail
  • Eudora
  • Web-based email (such as Yahoo! Mail)
  • Other HTML readers
  • Macintosh OSX 10.4 and above Mail client

The following email clients are not HTML compatible:

  • Lotus Notes
  • cc:Mail
  • AOL
  • Other plain text readers

If you've got questions about a particular email client or Web-based email service, please consult their Help files or support group for more detailed information.
