If you get chat messages while you’re away (offline), they’re saved as offline chat messages until you sign back in.

When you sign back in, any offline chat message you received will appear in a conversation tab. Click the tab to get the message! If there are messages from more than one contact, you’ll see a separate conversation tab for each one.
