How do I change the width of messages?

Try pulling. Pull! P u l l...!

Or, try this:

  1. Click Options in the upper-right corner of the page.
  2. Under “Management”, click General Preferences.
  3. Scroll down to the “Messages” section and find the Screen Width heading.
  4. Yahoo! Mail sets the width to 72 by default, but get in there and adjust it to whatever number of characters you’d like between 50 and 99!

Notes:

  • If you’re composing messages in Color and Graphics, the window won’t appear to be any wider to you, but the text will wrap according to your specifications for others.
  • If you reduce the width for viewing messages, text may appear uneven, since we don’t remove any line breaks. If text appears uneven on a regular basis, consider viewing your messages in a smaller font instead of reducing the message width(s). The font setting is just above the screen-width setting in the “Messages” section of General Preferences.
