Yahoo! Mail searches attachment names as well as the content of many types of attachments. This includes Adobe PDF files and Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, and Project files.

After you run a search, matches in the attachment name or content are indicated by a bolded paper clip icon. In the search results, you can hover over the paper clip icon to get additional information about the attached files.
