The Photo View provides an easy way of viewing photos that people have sent to you through email. The Photo View displays thumbnail images of the photos in an album layout, allowing you to see many photos at once – even if they are attached to different email messages. You can immediately see the photos without having to open each email message first.
There are two ways to display the Photo View:
-
View all photos in your mailbox: On all folder and message pages, there is a Search Shortcuts module on the left side of the page. In that module, you can click on the My Photos link to see all of the photos that have been sent to (or from) you through email. The My Photos link shows photos from all senders, across all of your folders (except Trash and Spam).
-
View all the photos in the current search results: After running any mail search, you can click the Photo View link at the top of the page. This will show the photos that are contained in messages that are in the current search results. For example, you could search for messages from "Jason", then click on the Photo View to see the photos that Jason has sent to you. The Refinement options automatically recalculate to show you information based on the current set of photos. To return to the list of messages, click on the Message View link.
The Photo View allows you to take several different actions:
-
View the larger photo: You can click on any photo thumbnail to see the larger version. CAN'T SEE THE LARGER PICTURE? Click here for more information
-
View additional information: You can get additional information such as filename, sender name, email subject, date, and time, etc by hovering the cursor over the message subject, located directly below the thumbnail image. This allows quick information without having to open up the original email first.
-
Save to Computer: You can select one or many photos and click on the Save to Computer button to save the photos to your computer (there is a maximum of 25 photos per Save). This is useful if you want to print the photos at home. The selected photos are scanned for viruses before you can download them. If you select multiple photos, the photos are zipped up to a single file for faster downloading.
-
View the original email: If you want to see the original email, click on message subject, located directly below the thumbnail image. From there, you can reply to the sender or forward the photos to another person.
