If you choose to allow readers to email or instant message (IM) you regarding your comments, you must set up an email address and IM account associated with your Yahoo! Profile. You may then check the "Link to my Yahoo! ID" box which allows other Yahoo! users to view your publicly available Yahoo! Profile and email/IM you about your review.

If you don't want anyone to email or IM you about the review you've written, leave the "Link to my Yahoo! ID" box unchecked. Anyone reading your review will then see only the name you've entered into the name field of your review. They won't be able to access your Yahoo! Profile and the email address or IM account associated with it.
