You can get around the Yahoo! Kids directory in two main ways: searching or browsing. Searching lets you look for a specific topic, while browsing lets you gradually narrow your search by going through different categories.
Throughout Yahoo! Kids, categories are marked in bold text while web sites are listed in plain text. (If you're not sure of the difference between a category and a web site, find out here.) To navigate through the directory, simply click a category and you'll get to the next level of the directory. If you want to go directly to a specific site or category, type in the name of the site or category in the search box and press the button that says "search."
To go to a previous page, either click the "back" button on your browser or look at the category path on the top of your page. This shows the bigger categories that your category is a part of. For example, the category path to get to Authors is School Bell: Language Arts: Authors. To get back to School Bell, just click the link in the category path.
To get back to the front page of Yahoo! Kids from anywhere in the directory, click the banner at the top of the page or the "Home" link at the beginning of the category path.
