Yahoo! HotJobs offers you various ways to search for thousands of jobs. You can begin your search on the home page, under the “Quick Job Search” section, by entering a keyword or phrase, city/state location, and industry preference. You can also search via the industries by clicking the "View All" link under the Featured Categories section located on the right side of the home page.

We have also added a new feature on the search results page: the “Guided Search” column. This allows you to narrow your search criteria even further. You can filter by post date, location, employers, staffing agencies, company names, job categories, and even experience level.

If you desire more in-depth search options, click the "Job Search" tab. On the next page you can perform a basic or advanced search. You can also choose to search by company or search international jobs.

Quick Search: When you click the "Job Search" tab, you are taken to the Quick Search page. Under the “Quick Search” section, start by entering keywords that describe the type of job you are looking for. Try entering more than one keyword if your search results are too broad. Use quotation marks to search for a specific string of words such as "Financial Analyst."

Using the “City” and “State” fields, you can limit your search to a specific geographic area. For instance, if you are looking for jobs in and around the San Francisco area, simply enter "San Francisco" and select "California" from the State menu. If you want to search for jobs nationwide, leave the “City” and “State” fields blank.

You can select a job category to search or leave the selection on the default "Select a Category" to search all job categories. You can also specify your salary expectations under the “Minimum Salary” section and your experience level under the “Experience Level” section. Click the "Search for Jobs Now" button to perform your search.

Advanced Search: This is the most inclusive job search option. Not all fields are required; however the more search criteria you specify, the narrower your search results will be. Like the Quick Search, the Advanced Search allows you to search using keywords, location, job category, salary, and experience level criteria. The Advanced Search also allows you to use additional Boolean functionality in the keyword section, search multiple locations and industries and search jobs from employers, staffing firms, or both.

Search by Company: In this section you can search through the companies that are members of Yahoo! HotJobs. You can search by company name, city/state location, industry, and company size. You can also choose to search companies by alphabetically.

Search International Jobs: This section allows you to search for job listings outside of the U.S. You can choose to search within the whole country, view jobs in a specific city/province within that country, or view all job listings in the country alphabetically or by industry.
