As you enter text into the Yahoo! search box, a list of phrases appears below the box. These phrases represent suggested possibilities for completing the query that you are formulating. They update automatically as you enter additional text.

The suggestions provided by Yahoo! Search Assist reflect queries that have been made by other Yahoo! users. If one of the suggested search options matches your query, you may select that option by clicking on the term.

You can turn the Search Assist feature on or off using a drop down menu located below the search box.
