What is the Can't Cut List?

The Can't Cut List is comprised of the game's best players. When a player is on the list, he cannot be waived from a team under any circumstances.

The list is one of several safeguards Yahoo! has put in place to prevent managers from negatively impacting fair play by dumping quality players into the available player pool.

The Yahoo! league office reviews the Can't Cut List on a daily basis and adjusts for performance and injury factors. If an underachieving player remains on the list, it's because the league office feels his long-term value exceeds that of any player who might be available on the free agents list.

Players are removed if injury or performance issues cause their value to drop below that of the top players at their position.

Injured players are not automatically removed from the Can't Cut List. Consideration is given to the length of time that a player is expected to miss and the player's projected value upon their return.

Custom League commissioners cannot manually adjust the Can't Cut List. However, if a Custom League should later decide to add or drop this feature, the commissioner can make this change through Commissioner Tools.
