Ideally, you should know your Custom League commissioner either personally or through participation in a previous Yahoo! Sports Fantasy league. Custom Leagues consisting of friends, family or co-workers are great because managers tend to be in close contact and usually have similar activity and ability levels.

When joining a Custom League, please remember that the commissioner of the league has full authority over all league matters. Among the tools and authorities available to Custom League commissioners are:

• Ability to lock teams from posting on the message board, trading, adding/dropping players, roster moves changing team name.
• Ability to remove posts from the message board.
• Ability to change team rosters.

The commissioner can exercise any of these authorities at any time and without explanation to league members.
