If a message is posted to a "moderated" group, but it’s never approved or rejected, users get frustrated. So, to minimize that, we do the following:

1. Messages which have been pending for more than 7 days trigger a reminder to the group's moderators.
2. Messages pending more than 14 days are deleted, and we notify the member who posted the message.
