Yahoo! Groups fosters discussion among many different types of people. As is often the case with discussions, sometimes they can become heated, and occasionally there are troublemakers.

In general, we encourage people to work out their differences on the service, as Yahoo! Groups cannot get involved in every dispute between members. Often, the best policy is to ignore the person who is harassing you. Over time, usually people will stop.

However, Yahoo! is committed to offering a trouble-free experience. If you find that harassment continues, you have the following options:

  • Ask the group owner to take action. The owner can
    • Make the person's posts moderated (this means they will require owner approval to be delivered to the group).
    • Remove/Ban the member from the group.
  • Leave the group and join another similar group.
  • Contact Yahoo! Groups and ask us to investigate the matter.
