Before the start of the Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Golf season, all eligible golfers are divided into three groups by Yahoo! Sports.

These groupings are set up to provide the best distribution of golfers and are based in part on the golfers' performance from last year's season.

Golfers are not moved between groups at any time during the season. However, additional golfers can be entered into the game at any point during the season.
