What is Flickr?

Flickr is an online photo management and sharing application. Through Yahoo! Go 3.0, Flickr enables you to upload, share, manage, search, and browse photos. All actions you take with Flickr on your mobile device also appear in Flickr on your PC.

Upload

You can upload photos taken with your mobile phone's camera to your Flickr account. During the upload process, you can add a title, a description, and tags, as well as choose privacy settings.

Share

You can share your photos publicly with the entire community of Flickr users or privately with your friends and family on Flickr. In return, your Flickr contacts can share their photos with you as well as leave comments about your photos.

To share photos using Flickr, sign in to your Yahoo! account on a PC and create a Flickr account at www.flickr.com if you don't already have one.

The mobile alternative is to open the Flickr Widget and choose Get started.

Because you have a Yahoo! account to access Yahoo! Go 3.0, you can easily set up a Flickr account that you need to have to use it. Note that although Flickr screen names and Yahoo! account names can be different, both names are tied to the same account.

Photo Management

Your photo sets, photos you mark as favorites, and recent activity appear under the heading My photos. In addition, the Flickr widget displays your contacts and your contacts’ latest photos under Contacts' Photos.

Search

You can press 0 on the keypad to use oneSearch in Flickr to look for specific photos, comments, tags, titles, and descriptions as well as the uploads, called a Photostream, of a Flickr user.

Browse

Photos available to any user are shown in the Explore Flickr sections Everyone's photos and Interesting photos. As you scroll through the photos, choose Options > View person's stream to see all the photos from the owner of the highlighted photo.
