What are the special navigation features?

Keypad Navigation

The keys you can use depend on the context.

Note that when the cursor is in a oneSearch field, the keypad cannot be used for navigation. Scroll out of the oneSearch field to use these navigation commands.

Common

Yahoo! Go 3.0 has the following overall keypad navigation: 5, *, 0, and #.

  • 5 opens to the widget center, the main page of the widget you are using.
  • * opens My widgets, a complete list of the Widgets.
  • 0 opens the oneSearch field.
  • # opens the carousel.

Mail

Mail has the following special keys: 2, 4, 6, and 8.

  • 4 opens a blank email.
  • 6 opens a reply to the selected or open email.
  • 2 opens the folders list.
  • 8 marks the selected email as read or unread.

Maps

Maps has the following special keys: 1, 3, 2, and 8.

  • 1 finds the previous point in the itinerary or in the set of points found by a search.
  • 3 finds the next point in the itinerary or in the set of points found by a search.
  • 2 opens the folders list.
  • 8 hides or shows traffic status on the map.

Menu Structure

The Options menu has some conventions, including a Go to item for standard navigation options, including Exit, and a More item for extra options in the Widget.
