Upgrading

Need extra disk space or data transfer? Have your goals for your web site changed? You can upgrade anytime.

If you have a GeoCities Free plan, just visit our Small Business information pages and sign up for the plan that's best for you.

GeoCities Plus and Pro members can upgrade directly from the GeoCities Control Panel:

1. Sign in to your GeoCities Control Panel.
2. Click the "Manage My Services" button in the upper-right corner of the page, then choose "My Services."
3. You'll see a list of all of your Yahoo! services. Click the "Change My Plan" link that corresponds with the plan you'd like to upgrade.
4. Complete the steps on the following pages to select and sign up for your new plan.

Adding Extras

You can get more disk space and data transfer by upgrading to a Web Hosting plan, which offers unlimited disk space and data transfer.

GeoCities Pro members can also add Private Domain Registration. To sign up, click the "Manage My Services" button in the upper-right corner of any page, then "My Services." Click the "Add Extras" link under your plan, then follow the instructions to add Private Domain Registration to your plan.

Downgrading

You can downgrade your plan to GeoCities Free by simply canceling your premium service.

Important: Please be aware that if you cancel your plan, you will no longer be able to access your web site files. If you have a GeoCities Pro plan, you will also no longer be able to take advantage of your personalized email addresses or use the Domain Control Panel to manage your domain. We strongly recommend that you save copies of your web site files and emails to your own computer and/or transfer your domain before you cancel your plan.

To cancel your GeoCities Plus or Pro plan:

1. Sign in to your GeoCities Control Panel.
2. Click the "Manage My Services" button in the upper-right corner of the page, then choose "My Services."
3. Click the "Cancel Plan" link under the plan you want to cancel.
4. Follow the instructions to cancel your plan.
