When you deactivate your site, you delete all extensions from your hosting account and unassign all of your authors, completely eliminating FrontPage authoring in your site. To reactivate FrontPage publishing on your site, you'll need to return to the FrontPage console in your GeoCities Control Panel and complete the activation process again. Learn more.
To activate your site for FrontPage publishing:
1. Click the "FrontPage" link on the Create & Update tab of your GeoCities Control Panel.
2. Select an existing author from the pull-down menu or add a name and password for a new author. This author will have access to your root web after you complete the activation process.

3. Choose "Activate" to begin activation.

Depending on the size of your site, activation can take quite a long time, so be patient while new FrontPage extensions are installed in your account. To view your activation status anytime, return to the FrontPage console and click the "Refresh" or "Reload" button in your browser. During the activation process, you will not be able to access your root web, assign authors, or work with other aspects of your site.
We recommend that you deactivate your site or subwebs only if you're certain you no longer want to publish your site or subweb using FrontPage. Although your site pages and content will be preserved after deactivation, certain functionality in those pages related to FrontPage may fail, so we strongly suggest that you consider any potential disruption to your site when you prepare to deactivate FrontPage.
