Who can buy Private Domain Registration?
Yahoo! Private Domain Registration is available with all new Yahoo! domain registrations and certain other domains registered through Yahoo! that have not been transferred to another registrar. If you have already registered and continue to manage your domain through Yahoo!, please locate your plan in the list below to determine if you can sign up for this service:

Yahoo! Private Domain Registration is available to all customers who registered a domain through Yahoo! after January 22, 2001 (or, for Merchant Solutions customers, after March 23, 2001) and have not transferred the domain to another registrar. |

Because Yahoo! Private Domain Registration is provided to Yahoo! users by our domain registration partner, Melbourne IT, we are able to offer this service only for domains registered through Yahoo! If you'd like to activate private registration for a domain you have purchased elsewhere and redelegated for use with your Yahoo! plan, please contact your domain registrar and ask about the availability of this feature.
* Please note that due to restrictions surrounding .us domain names, private registration is not available for domain names with the extension .us.
