My home page says "Under Construction" — why?

The "Under Construction" page is the default home page we provided for you when you signed up for your plan. This home page is the first page people see when they type your web address in their browsers. You can change this home page by editing the "index.html" or "index.htm" page we created, or creating your own "index.html" or "index.htm" page. (Note: You can use either extension — ".html" or "htm" — when creating your homepage.)

If you've already created a home page and you're still seeing the "Under Construction" page, you need to rename your home page "index.html" or "index.htm." You may need to delete the default "index.html" or "index.htm" file first before attempting to rename your file, as you can't overwrite an existing file simply by renaming another file using the same name.

To rename one of your files:

  1. Launch PageBuilder.
  2. Click "File" in the menu bar, and choose "File Manager..."from the pull-down menu.
  3. Click the tab where your file is located.
  4. Select the checkbox to the left of the file that you want to rename, and click the "Rename" button in the toolbar.
  5. Enter either "index.html" or "index.htm," then click the "Rename" button.

Note: File names are case sensitive, so "index.html" is not the same as "Index.html" or "INDEX.HTML." Also, the file extension ".htm" is not the same as ".html," so be sure to name your index page with a ".html" extension.
