If you're still having troubles, try these additional Internet Explorer troubleshooting tips:
- Try launching PageBuilder again, as it may just be a temporary problem.
- Shut down all the programs running on your computer, except your browser and Internet connection, and then launch PageBuilder. If you have many large programs running simultaneously, they could be using all the RAM on your computer. PageBuilder requires 32MB of RAM to work properly.
- Make sure that you have disabled any pop-up blocking programs. PageBuilder relies on a pop-up window to load, so if your pop-up blocker is on, PageBuilder will not be able to open.
- Network congestion can cause problems launching PageBuilder. Sometimes it helps to wait a half hour or so until the network is less congested to work with PageBuilder.
- Make sure you are using the most recent version of Internet Explorer. You can download the latest version for free on the Microsoft web site.
- It could be related to Java, a program that allows your computer (including Windows XP, Me, NT, 2000, 98, or 95) to run applets, which are necessary to launch PageBuilder. Download the Java plug-in, then relaunch PageBuilder.
- Double-check that Java and JavaScript are fully enabled in your browser:
- Click on "Tools" in Internet Explorer's menu bar, and select "Internet Options."
- Click the "Advanced" tab, then scroll down until you see the subheading "Java (Sun)."
- Check the box below this subheading.
- Now click the "Security" tab.
- Click the "Custom Level" button.
- Scroll down to "Scripting of Java applets" and be sure the "Enable" button is checked.
- Click "OK" then "OK" again to save your changes.
- Try using the Firefox browser instead of Internet Explorer (don't worry, you can have both browsers installed on your computer simultaneously).
