Basics

Your league is the hub of your Yahoo! Games All-Star experience. You need to create at least one league in order to create your own game rooms, tournaments, and ladders.

You can create as many leagues as you want -- one for chess, one for pool, and so on, or one league that has all your game rooms in one location-- whichever way you like it.

Please note that creating your own league is suggested but not mandatory. You can choose not to create your own leagues and instead play in other members' leagues or the official Yahoo! Games All-Star game rooms.

Creating a league

To create your own leagues, go to the leagues page of Yahoo! Games All-Stars.

Next, click the "Create a New League!" link.

Then, set the options for your league:

  • Name your league
  • Enter your league address (URL)
  • Describe your league
  • Select your profile and email
  • Select directory listing type (listed/unlisted)
  • Select membership type (open, restricted, closed)
  • First message (first message posted on your league message board)

Finally, click "Continue" to finish creating your league. Your league will be created and you'll be taken to your league home page.

Deleting a league

If for any reason you want to delete a league, you can do so easily at any time.

From your league home page, click the "League Settings" link. Finally, click the "Delete This League" link to finish the deletion process.
