Ideally, you should know your Custom League commissioner either personally or through participation in a previous Yahoo! Sports fantasy league. Custom Leagues consisting of friends, family, or co-workers are ideal because managers tend to be in close contact and usually have similar activity and ability levels.

When joining a Custom League, please remember that the commissioner of the Custom League has full authority over all league matters. With the tools and authorities available to Custom League commissioners, they can:

• Lock teams from posting on the message board, trading, adding/dropping players, roster moves, and changing team name.
• Remove posts from the message board.
• Change rosters/lineups for the current week or any completed week.

The commissioner can exercise any of these authorities at any time and without explanation to league members.
