Canadian Quotes
- Yahoo! Finance and My Yahoo! now include stock quotes for Canadian markets.
- Canadian ticker symbols include an extension designating the exchange as follows:
- Toronto: .TO (example: NT.TO)
- Canadian Venture Exchange: .V (example: CD.V) Formerly the Vancouver & Alberta exchanges
- You can find the ticker symbol including the extension by using our Ticker Symbol Lookup feature.
- Many stocks trade on multiple Canadian markets, and ,unfortunately, we do not have a composite quote available as we do for U.S. markets. Be sure to watch your stock on one of the markets in which it trades most heavily.
- Canadian mutual funds are not yet available; we are looking into this.
- The Canadian Dealer Network, or Over The Counter (OTC) stocks, are not currently covered, but will be added if possible.
- Quotes from Canadian exchanges are in Canadian dollars. You can find current exchange rates on Yahoo! Finance's Currency Exchange Rates Page. You can find this link on the Yahoo Finance home page as well.
- Unfortunately, portfolios including both Canadian and U.S. stocks simply add the mixed currencies resulting in an incorrect total.
