Yahoo! Finance indexes both news stories we host on our site and stories from selected external sites. Articles hosted on external web sites can be identified by an [external] in front of the headline.

You can customize the external site sources you'd like to see headlines from on quote-result and portfolio pages.

• News headlines are updated with the latest news available to Yahoo! on a continual basis. Normally, the most recent five stories for each company are displayed. Or, if the company has more than five stories in the last 24 hours, all stories in the last 24 hours are displayed. Users who have logged in can customize this to suit their needs.
• A maximum of 20 stories are displayed for a given stock list. The remaining stories can be viewed on a separate page, if desired.
• Note that most companies don't have news every day, and even companies with a lot of news occasionally have a day without any news at all. Please consider this before reporting that news stories for a given company aren't updating.
