Basics:
You can use the Views feature of Yahoo! Finance to look at portfolios in multiple, customizable formats. For example, if there are seven aspects of a stock you regularly use to evaluate it, you can make a custom view and then evaluate large groups of stocks in a portfolio or multiple quote on all seven aspects.
Editing a view:
You can add or delete any of over 34 defined fields of a view, or reorder the way the information fields are displayed by editing a view.
To edit a view, go to your portfolio. Select the "Edit" link next to the view name you wish to edit. On the next page, use the pull-down menus to select the fields you wish to include in the view. Click the "Finished" button at the bottom of the page to commit your changes. Views are used for both portfolios and for multiple quotes, where you enter more than one symbol at a time.
Deleting a view:
To delete a view, go to your portfolios. Select the "Edit" link next to the view name you wish to delete. On the next page, click the "Delete This View" button at the top.
Creating a custom view:
You can create a custom view to display your portfolio or quote information in the order you select. To do this, select the "Create New View" link available from the Views menu. On the next page, enter the name of your new custom view and up use the pull-down menus to select the fields you wish to include. Click the "Finished" button at the bottom of the page to commit your changes.
