In order to create a Family Account, you must certify that you are at least 18 years of age and the parent or legal guardian of the account holder. Unfortunately, the only method that Yahoo! currently uses to verify consent is a valid major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover). Yahoo! also accepts debit cards with a Visa or Mastercard logo.

Yahoo! verifies your credit card information with your bank. When the verification is approved, you can create a Family Account.

We do not charge your credit card. It is only used for age verification purposes.
