There are several reasons you might not hear sound when you click the "Audio" link.

The volume setting on your computer might be too low. To adjust the volume, click the speaker icon on the toolbar in the lower-right corner of your screen.

Or, you might need to install the QuickTime audio plug-in on your computer. Follow these steps to install:

  1. In your web browser, go to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/.
  2. Select your operating system, and click the "Download QuickTime" button.
  3. Follow the installation instructions to complete the procedure.
  4. During the installation process, you see the QuickTime Settings window in which you can assign file type associations. Under the "Select viewer associations" heading, check the "Windows file types" and "Macintosh file types" boxes, and then continue.
  5. When the QuickTime installation is finished, launch your web browser and test audio pronunciation.

If you continue to experience this problem, we suggest that you check/adjust your QuickTime settings as follows:

  1. Close your web browser.
  2. Open the QuickTime application.
  3. Select Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences.
  4. Select "Browser Plug-in" from the pull-down menu.
  5. Click the "MIME Settings" button.
  6. Click to select (make an "X" in) the box next to "Audio Setting."
  7. Click "OK."
  8. Close the "QuickTime Settings" dialog box.
  9. Exit the QuickTime application.
  10. Open your web browser.

Or, you might need to make sure your browser is set to play web sounds and JavaScript is enabled. In Internet Explorer:

  1. Select the "Tools" menu.
  2. Select "Internet Options."
  3. Click the "Advanced" tab.
  4. Under Multimedia, make sure that "Play sounds in web pages" is checked.
  5. Click the "Security" tab.
  6. Click the "Custom Level" button under "Security level for this zone."
  7. Select "Enable" under Scripting - Active Scripting.
  8. Click "OK."
  9. Click "OK" again to close the dialog box.

In Firefox:

  1. Select the "Tools" menu.
  2. Select "Options."
  3. Click the "Content" button (or "Web Features" button).
  4. Make sure the "Enable JavaScript" box is checked.
  5. Click "OK."

You should now be ready. If you continue to experience a problem, please click "No" below, to contact customer care.
