Why isn't my site listed in the Yahoo! Directory?
Your site might not appear in the Yahoo! Directory for one of the following reasons:
-
We added your site, but it is not yet displayed because the Yahoo! Directory database has not completed updating new listings. All newly listed sites appear in the Yahoo! Directory only after the Directory has completed an update cycle. If you recently received notification that your site was added to the Yahoo! Directory but you can't locate it, repeat your search in two days. After the Directory update, your site should be displayed.
Note: We recommend that you search for your site by going to the Directory homepage and search by the site's title or by its domain without the www. preceding the domain. For example, you should format a search for the site http://www.example.com as "example.com", or search by the title "Example."
-
We never added it. Either we've never seen your site (i.e., it was not suggested in the guaranteed review process for inclusion in the Yahoo! Directory, or we haven't discovered it during our own web surfing), or we've seen it and decided not to include it.
If you have not yet suggested your site to the Yahoo! Directory, please refer to our Submission help pages for information on submitting sites to the Yahoo! Directory.
-
We removed the listing because it was not in compliance with our guidelines. We do not list websites that are dead links, incomplete, under construction, or offer very limited or duplicate content. We normally do not remove sites from the Directory that are in compliance with our guidelines.
If your site was listed in the Directory and was temporarily down, it might have been removed. If you see that it has been removed from the Directory, please click the "Contact Customer Care" button below to send an email to the Directory Support Department.
Please Note: This answer applies only if you've created a website, suggested it for inclusion in the Yahoo! Directory, and can't find it listed in the Yahoo! Directory.
