To post an ad to any category within Yahoo! Classifieds, you need:
- A correct U.S. postal code or U.S. city and state combination.
- A Yahoo! ID. If you registered for any other Yahoo! property, you already have a Yahoo! ID. If you don't, you can sign up now.
Once you've registered and signed in, go to Yahoo! Classifieds and please do the following:
- Click on one of the Post an Ad links on the page.
- Choose the appropriate category for the type of ad you want to submit.
- Choose the ad level (Basic or Featured). Click "Continue".
- Fill out the details form, giving as much information as you like.
- Click "Continue" at the bottom of the form. If you receive an error message, you'll need to correct your ad or it will not post.
- When you're done, we'll show you a preview of what your ad will look like. Click the "Edit Ad" link on the preview page if you wish to make changes. At this time, you can also upgrade your ad to a Featured Listing if you didn't choose that option on the submission page. If you're satisfied with your ad, click "Submit" for free ads in the For Sale category or "Proceed to Yahoo! Billing" for all other ad categories.
- If you've chosen a paid ad, verify your billing information. If it's correct, click "Place Order".
- You will then receive an order confirmation email.
Please note: Your personals ad will not be posted if you include an email address, web address, or telephone number in the ad.
Important: Your ad should appear on our site within a couple of hours. Paid listings will stay up for 30 days and free listings will stay up for 7 days, unless you delete it sooner. You can edit your ad at any time; however, this will not extend the time remaining on your ad.
